Lent Soup Lunches raise around £570

The five Community Lent Soup Lunches in Aid of the Bishop of Norwich’s Diocesan Appeal raised around £570, which will go towards providing a 4×4 vehicle to take dying patients to the only hospice in Ethiopia.

Thank you to all those who supported the Lunches whether by making and serving the delicious home-made soups, or by coming along to enjoy the soup, bread and cheese, homemade cookies and the companionship of the meal, or in any other way.

On the 4th Thursday, we were very pleased that a class from the Primary School joined us for their lunchtime break with their teachers, and generously supported the Appeal. A selection of the soups which have been offered this year is shown in the photo of 3 of the menu cards.
