Black History Month: St Josephine Bakhita

As part of Black History Month this year, Rev’d Helen created a special video for Collective Worship across our schools. Here Rev’d Helen tells us about St Josephine Bakhita (c. 1869- 1947) who was abducted as a child and sold into slavery. Her life moved from Sudan to Italy where in time she converted to Catholicism. In 2000 she was declared a saint by the Catholic Church.
