Reepham & Wensum Valley Team Churches - at the Heart of the Community

Archives and Historical Documents

With centuries of history between them, our churches have stood and served as places of worship for many generations of families. Many of our parish registers go back to the 1500s for baptisms, marriages and funerals.

In general we no longer hold historic parish records within our churches. All records have been sent to the Norfolk Record Office where they are duplicated to microfilm to preserve them for the future. The original documents are then held in controlled conditions to preserve them further.

If you are tracing family members and would like to search the parish registers, please contact the Norfolk Record Office in the first instance. Their website, available here, has comprehensive information and a list of all the records that they hold. Alternatively, you can contact them on 01603 222599 or email norfrec@norfolk.gov.uk.

If you wish to search for a grave or burial plot within one of our parishes, please contact the Church Warden responsible for that church. For all other enquiries please contact the Benefice Administrator at parishofficerwv@gmail.com
