A Few Words From Sue Page:

 After more than 40 years as an active Reader/Licensed Minister I must now retire.

Over the past two or three months being quite ill has prevented me from keeping up to date with Safeguarding /up to date legal requirements etc.

I first started in 1984 when Dick had five parishes and neither retired  clergy nor curates to share the Ministry.

He persuaded me that I was needed, I went through training and immediately became very involved.

As well as parish duties over the early years I went regularly to St John’s Notts, Ridley and Westcott House and taught/helped curates in training to develop effective Communication skills.

I was persuaded to join the Synod and became active on several Commissions over the years I was a member. I was even persuaded to write a book on effective Communication Skills which SPCK published in 1997

It all kept me very busy and the diocese persuaded to take several responsibities over the years.

This ongoing illness has pulled me away from being actively involved, and as I am now 84 it is definitely time to take a back seat.

Thank you good friends for your friendship and support. I shall now happily retire to a less active life

Re the illness…. it has been decided that over the next months I need one big operation and either treatment or another op elsewhere in my old body.

How luck I am to live in Reepham where I am supported by a good medical practice. a wonderful chemist and many lovely supportive active and loving friends
