Messy Church is for children with their families and carers. We meet on the 3rd or 4th Thursday of most months, at 3.30pm, in St Michael’s Reepham and on the 4th Friday of the month in Lyng and District Community Hall from 3.15pm.
After a drink and biscuit, we have an hour of crafts and activities based on the theme for the day, followed by a lively time of celebration, with songs, a story often involving puppets, and prayer. Family and children then share a cooked meal together, with time to chat and make new friends.
Messy Café Church
During term time in Elsing Village Hall on the 1st Sunday at 4pm and Great Witchingham Village Hall on the 2nd Sunday at 4pm we have Messy Café Church.
Messy Café Church is a shorter version of Messy Church. There are still lots of crafts and stories for children to share with their families as well as light refreshments (cake!) at the end. Sessions are free and last about an hour. There are hot drinks for grown ups and toys for our younger visitors. Each month we have a different theme, previous themes have included Hope, the World Cup, Remembrance Sunday, Peace, Easter and Love. Everyone is welcome to drop by, you don’t need to book.
